Risk Management Technologies is a Perth-based business that provides software solutions and services for managing enterprise risk and chemical safety risk. At the core of their systems and processes are several highly-developed databases. Data Mettle was engaged for a variety of projects. One project applied natural language processing models for information extraction and insight gathering, with the goal being to automate manual processes in data entry and data storage, which would save company resources and ultimately aid in scaling up the business. Another project applied a machine learning model to predict risk categories.

We worked closely with RMT stakeholders, scientists, and software developers to investigate the feasibility of machine learning approaches prior to building software customised to their requirements and databases. We also supported the team in effectively embedding these tools in their current processes and workflows, and assisted the team in knowledge transfer.
